The blue beady goodness has gone up for bid. We'll see what happens. Suggestions on ad layout and info welcome.

god, that is so gorgeous. how long does it take to do something like that, from beginning (making the yarn) to the end?

Thanks! *smile*

Oh, 5-6 hours all told, spread out over a couple of days. I imagine I'll get a little quicker as I work with beads more, but right now it's a bit of a slow process. I have another skein of basically the same stuff (slightly different coloring, changed the process a little bit) that I spun up right before I went on my trip to see Chris - I'll post a pic as soon as I can figure out why my ftp access is not working *grumble*.

I'm kinda surprised that I don't have any bids at all yet, but this whole eBay thing is an experiment I guess.

Oh, do you still want the alpaca stuff, or would it be better for me to make up something that won't trigger your allergies? Or both?

well, i'd really love it if you happen to be in the mood to make something from all-cotton or somesuch, but i do want to go ahead and get that other skein anyway. how can i go about paying you? do you have paypal?
-the redhead-theredhead on July 12th, 2004 09:51 am (UTC)
I don't have paypal - you can just send me a check when you get around to it, no huge rush. I got your address that you just sent (thanks for testing the info/order link on my yarn site for me *smile*), so I'll put the Zesty Alpaca in the mail to you tomorrow & send you the tracking #. I think Priority Mail is like $4 or so? I'll let you know.

Oh - you are so sweet!!! Thank you! *smile*

I know how irritating it can be to see ad after ad on some communities like

Oh - you are so sweet!!! Thank you! *smile*

I know how irritating it can be to see ad after ad on some communities like <lj-user="knitting"> so I try very hard not to do that sort of thing. On the other hand, it does reduce the exposure to my target audience, so to speak.

I'd certainly appreciate comments about my yarns from other knitters for sure! I know what *I* like, but I also know that everyone else doesn't like the same stuff so opinions are *always* welcome. I also have my other yarn at http://www.redstonegroup.org/yarn/

Dang! I already have a bid - you are *good* and have a way bigger friends list than I do *smile* Can I send you something pretty in return for being such a wonderful pimp for me and saying things about my yarn? Maybe a skein of the Watercolors yarn from my yarn page in return for such nice marketing assistance?
