In the past...

The rules are simple:

#1 No expectations

#2 Actions speak louder than words

#3 You can only count on yourself

It does, of course beg the question. Well, several at any rate.

Why do I feel the need to have these rules in the first place?
How does each rule protect me?
What does each rule protect me from?
What does each rule mean?
Are they good rules or bad rules?

-the redhead-

"just because my cuts have healed into scars doesn't mean I was never hurt in the first place."

By my hand or in my hand.

Nothing else exists, nothing else will happen.

Fits perfectly with the old rules:

#1 No expectations
#2 Actions speak louder than words
#3 You can only count on yourself

Now I just need to STICK TO THEM instead of being stupid... again... and again...

-the redhead-
...whno knows there is no reason to go out on the ice...

It's a clue *nod* Maybe I'll have it tatooed on the inside of my eyelids.
