The year in review
I'm pretty pleased with my spinning achievements over the past year:

1 Best In Show (same as Grand Ch.) – Wool Festival of the Southwest
2 Grand Champions – Taos Wool Festival
3 Reserve Grand Champions - Taos & Estes Park Wool Festivals
1 People's Choice award – Boulder County Fair
15 First Place Ribbons – Boulder County, Wool Fest.of the SW, Taos, Maryland Sheep and Wool, Estes
5 Second Place Ribbons - Boulder County, Taos, Maryland Sheep and Wool

1 full-ride scholarship to SOAR in Park City Utah for a week – Interweave Press.

Not bad, not too bad at all. I am a damned fine spinner, as recognized by the judges and my peers.

That's quite a list of accomplishments. Congratulations.

Thank you kind sir. I think I'm doing pretty good with my fiber stuff these days. I've decided to take the final step in my fiber evolution this fall - I'm going to learn to weave.

That's quite an art. I know lissamc has made great progress with the 4-harness loom she picked up at a garage sale several years back. She also spins her own yarn. I think you'll like it.

Oh, there is no doubt I will enjoy weaving a great deal. I have purposefully been putting off learning as the equipment can be a bit pricey - especially the loom *I* want. But I've been told I can rent a loom from the guild for a nominal monthly fee, so that should work for awhile.
