Black Sheep Gathering 2007
Here's my handspun yarn results for the BSG. I'm very pleased with winning scores of 97 for the rose grey alpaca 2 ply laceweight, 96 x2 for the silver beaded merino and the grey corrie/alpaca/silk blend, and a 95 for the second place white alpaca. Judith is the judge for next year, so that will be tough. I'd better start on some of that laceweight now ;)

Wow, congratulations!
I'm looking along the top of hte picture...was some of each knitted into somehing? If so, is that to show what can be done with the wool? Inquiring minds!

Thanks so much :)

Yes, those are small samples of the yarn. Some competitions require the samples along with the skeins of yarn to show how it works up and the suitability for the use you've listed for the yarn. Frankly, it's a very good idea - I should always spin up some extra for sampling. I'm trying to get into the habit.
