The holidays
Thanks to a real friend, I now have a place to go for Christmas so I don't have to spend all of the holidays alone. I'm trying very hard to not look forward to it, because that will guarantee something happening to screw it up. Hopefully it will be nice.

Laptop still jacked - will have to save up to buy another one, hopefully by March or April.

It's interesting how people will stop contacting you if it isn't convenient for them. I'm discovering this the longer I am without a computer at home. I still haven't figured out why people can have time to chat for hours on the computer, but say that they just don't have time to call. Medium notwithstanding, it's still time spent, no? Why won't they just admit that it's purely a matter of convenience, and that if it's not *easy* then you/I aren't worth the effort?

Turning The Corner
Glad things seem to be turning around for you (in some respects at least).

As for people staying in contact with you. People are funny.
