I love my mother, but...
…sometimes she can be *exasperating*!! *shakes head*

If I’ve given her all my numbers, I’ve given them to her a million times. But, being the person that I am, I called her at lunchtime to make sure that she had them in her wallet in preparation for her surgery on Friday. And to make sure she gives my cousin, who is going with her to the hospital, the toll free number here at work so there is *no* excuse not to call me with updates, let me know when she’s in recovery, that everything went okay, etc.

Once again, I had to make her write them down. With a note that says ‘My daughter works for XXX, please call her if there is a problem’. She was worried about someone calling me too early in the morning, as her surgery is at 7am eastern time. No Mom, it doesn’t matter *how* early it is, I still want them to call if there’s an issue. Made sure she wrote down my cell number too. Assured her that early in the morning is not a worry.

My cousin is nice enough, but she tends to become overly excited and has a tendency to make bad decisions under pressure/ But PA has a law that states that some one in the state must have medical power of attorney and such, blah blah blah. It’s annoying to say the least. If someone has to make hard decisions I want it to me *me*, not my cousin.

Ah well, the joys of family...
