Today is on hold
By the time the Dr. called at 4:15 yesterday it was too late to get a flight, so instead I'm home sitting by the phone waiting. They are going to fit mom in the schedule for a pacemaker today. A good thing all around, and they are using our product as well. I was especially alarmed to be told this morning that her sleeping heart rate dropped to 32 - way too low. Baby brother is there, and will call me when they take her in.

I ran out of bobbins to be able to spin more *sigh* Need to get more at some point. So instead I sit and fidget...

I'm sending you all kinds of good thoughts... there is not a lot more I can say, wish there was. Except maybe that dropspindles and a bunch of silk go a long way with the handfidget thing, did for me earlier this year anyway, with a lot of back and forth across the country to be with my dad in the hospital.

A friend's little boy, who's had a pacemaker since infancy and is now 6, just got a new one earlier this year... and the company that made his original one (replacement too I believe) sent the original back to them, with a plaque with the kid's name on it and stuff... which I found really touching in some way that's hard to really verbalize. He got to take it to school for show and tell, his old battery since he is "part robot."

Yeah, that sounds like something Medtronic would do *smile*

Thanks for the good thoughts :)

So everyone waited and waited, they finally took her about 2. Then 45 mins later baby brother calls to say they had a gunshot trauma come in, so she was bumped. So I got to talk briefly with hungry, thirsty, drugged up mom - entertaining.
