At the convenience of others
Is it too much to have one uninterrupted hour a week to talk?

one hour a week, especially if it is pre-scheduled, would seem entirely reasonable.

if it's not prescheduled, however, then it could be problematic. i'm sure you realize that there are times when you can't just drop what you're doing in the middle and go huddle with the phone for an hour. i know you know that.

but if the time is prescheduled, i should think that it would be reasonable to expect it to happen just as planned unless some sort of REALLY SERIOUS emergency were to pre-empt it.

...but then, i'm a stickler for people doing what they say they're going to do. if someone blows me off more than twice without an extremely good explanation and an immediate demonstration that this is out of the ordinary for them, i cease to take them very seriously and i cease to have any faith in their promises.

yes, prescheduled weekly at the same time. Has been for awhile. Most recently was interrupted twice for side conversation, including 'let me call you right back'. No 'I'm on the phone right now', no 'hang on one sec C'.

Maybe I'm being too sensitive, and just shouldn't worry about whether we talk or not *shrug*
