Question
Are 'how big are your breasts?' and 'how big is your cock?' contextually the same question?

Are the normal answers given comparable? Why is a rather specific answer expected for the former, but not the latter?

Time for a little social mores research.

well, actually, should exact measurements be asked for i'd say the whole issue of measuring would suddenly become a non-issue.

i must say i've never thought about this, though. it never would have occurred to me to entertain either question.

I'm curious because I have heard that many men seem to like to send pictures of their peni. If this is the case, do they send a ruler or other item to give it "scale"?

Seriously curious.

yikes. i lead a sheltered life, it seems. someone sending me a penis pic, with or without a gauge, would probably offend me quite a lot.

Some of them do include a 'scale' of some sort.

And no, I don't find it terribly exciting or amusing to receive such.

I can *hear* you saying it in my head *grin*

Sometime we'll have to talk so I can see how close my internal monologue was to reality.

Well, you were on the speyshul list that could see the post with my phone number. :-)

Or you can send me yours. LD is free in The Neighborhood after all.

I can see that, but the underlying assumption is that they must work for *some* percentage of people.

That concerns me....

hmmm. who was it I was talking to the other day, who said that he actually had middling success with exceedingly crude pickup lines? can't remember. (shows how much of an impression he made on me, but anyway) he was saying that about 1 in 3 would go home with him, even if he was rude enough to just walk up to them and say something like "if i get you drunk, will you go home with me?"

scary.

hey, if a guy had peni, well, i'd want to know how many,
forget the size ;) the picture might even get framed!

wow. tentacles.

Well, I was asked last evening and it got me thinking. My immediate response, which made it past all the safety filters (damnit!), was a serious eyebrow and 'Got a ruler?'.

So, why are these two things viewed / responded to differently? Why should it matter anyways?

Which brings up something else to think about - I get more than annoyed by living forever in the big sister/little sister/friend only box, but on the other hand I also get annoyed by being classed as nothing more than a 'fun playtoy' based on superficial characteristics.

Yeah, I'm totally screwed. Or not, actually.

hmmmm. interesting. i've been wondering how, or at all
to answer the question. i've never been asked, and i've
never asked. if asked, my answer would probably be rather
sarcastic, and if i asked, i can't imagine not getting such
an answer. the only context i *might* ask if i were buying
or making clothes for someone, and needed fitting information.

silly people.

hmmm. sample answers for fun...

"bigger than you [r ego] can handle"
"if you need to ask, you don't need to know"
"if you can't tell now, what good are you?"
"did you want that in meters per second or volume?"
"metric or english?"
"why, i never!"
"ask your mom/dad!"
"you didn't just ask me that, you better not have"
"keeel! jumping up and down on the desk keel! KEEL!"

uhm. sorry :>

well, actually, should exact measurements be asked for i'd say the whole issue of measuring would suddenly become a non-issue.

Based on one implication of 'suddenly become a non-issue', yes - it never was an issue of the details.

Based on another implication, unfortunately for me, no.

eh, well. sometimes, the delicacies gleaned from blowfish.com are much nicer than the real thing attached to an annoying person.
