SCOTUS is getting a bit crazy – eminent domain for non-infrastructure related takings, and now the Ten Commandments. It’s not like those areas were actually blighted so the economic development argument fails the hard test I think, and just because someone wants to build a shopping center doesn’t mean it’s for the ‘public good’. We have to stop feeding the big corps and make them stand on their own two feet. As for the Commandments, the scrutiny of each exhibit is just BS. Is The Court going to be the ones that examine each case? Hardly! There’s a big difference between not being unconstitutional and being appropriate. So, are they going t o put up the equivalent commandments from other religions?
