"Long overdue art"

No shit it's long overdue...

Last January in Boston I was very pleased to spend a few of my limited and precious pennies on some art I appreciated. I had seen some of it a year previously (so 2 years ago, now) but had been unable to purchase a piece. So I was pretty excited to have a second chance to do so.

I wrote a check for the piece, and was told that the artist would contact me about shipping once the hulabaloo of the event was over. I waited a while, as I understand being busy and (especially) stupid computer problems, didn't hear from the artist. Emailed, didn't hear. No art.

Didn't hear from the artist until... September. Got an email saying how horrible life had been, did I still want the art, they would send pics of several pieces to choose from. For a few minutes I considered responding harshly, but after my daily stomp I had recomposed myself. Sent an understanding note to the artist saying I know how life happens and that sending pics of pieces would be fine. Don't hear from artist again.

Until yesterday.

"So, yet more time has passed... so much more that it is time for ARISIA again! That means, a Year!!

So, the reason I have not been in touch regarding your artwork is..."
blah blah blah... medium problems... yadda... asks if I'm going to be at same event in Boston (I've learned my lessons about being left in giant blizzards, missing work, and the 17 hour trip home from hell, thankyouverymuch), and I could pick art up there if I wanted. Otherwise the artist will really really send me the art.

"I do hope you are well and happy, and I hope to see you at ARISIA of you are going!"

*sigh*

*annoyed*

Of course, I will be niiiiice and just have them send me the art without getting all redheaded on their ass. But still, I'm definitely annoyed.

I just hope they send it *this* time.
