I've been working a bit lately. Here's a couple of my latest. Apparently it's laceweight season.
Local 100% Rambouilette, hand combed by moi 502 yds, 2 oz / 58 g, 24wpi. The singles were 72 wpi. A pictorial of the combing is located here. This fiber has a lot of loft and spring. As expected, this yarn plumped up quite a bit from the skinny singles. There is a full 6 inches of give to this skein when bounced between my hands. I think even Abby will approve of the twist here ;)

Local 100% alpaca, hand combed by moi 216 yds, 1.6 oz / 46 g, 36 wpi. The singles were 78 wpi. A pictorial of the combing and spinning is located here.

It's always entertaining to see the difference between fibers, even when you know what's coming. For both of these the singles wpi was roughly the same but the results are far different. Fun stuff!
Purple yarn! Soooo not me.
Purchased roving (from Bountiful, I think), approx. 70% Corriedale / 20% mohair/ 10% silk / Angelina fiber, 128 yds, 2.4 oz / 69 g, 14 wpi

I need to work on my fat yarns now - much harder for me. And this skinny stuff takes forever ;)
