Seeking ZenCart gurus
I decided I would teach myself ZenCart this weekend, as I want to get my little luxury fiber & yarn business online.

So last night after work I made it through the first 200 pages of the book and got a good grasp on the basic setup, functionality, adding products, interfacing with PayPal, etc. I got to a bare bones working test site by midnight. My goal is to have the entire thing polished up by the end of the weekend.

Now I want to make it look like a nice, elegant website. Not a generic, off the shelf storefront that's been tweaked a bit. What I have now is not aesthetically pleasing to me. AKA ugly.

I need to get this done because I really need to spend time dyeing gorgeous silks and spinning up some blingy yarn. Gotta get some blending done. All the important fibery stuff.

Anyone out there have any experience with this platform? Or know someone who knows someone?

PS - I do have pics and such from dyeing with Sara Lamb last weekend which I will get up sometime soon.

I do not have experience with this product, but I do web-based programming and design on a daily basis. I'd be more than happy to help you pimp your products :-)

Ooooh - thanks! I appreciate the offer and will take you up on it when the time comes.

I have a handle on the design stuff pretty much (see http://www.claylink.com for an example of my work). It's just the figuring out this platform thing. 'cause I want it to be nice and elegant.

I'm a smart girl, I should be able to do this.

PS - thanks so much for the spinningfiber paid time.

Good luck with ZenCart, I'm sure you'll figure it out! I'll ask around and see if anyone I know is using it...but I have to admit that most people I know with sites aren't selling things.

no problemo about the paid time!! like I said, I wish I could afford the permanent account, the community is so awesome and I've learned so much.
