I got a brand new KitchenAid 5 Qt. 325 watt Stand Mixer for $219!! That's like half price. After Xmas sales rock.

That is a great deal, everytime I get close I spend the monkey on something else. I was not sure where to contact you here or ravelry, How do you drum card your silk into blends with out it neping or noiling up?

It was a total score. I also got an extra bowl (the nice ones with the comfort handle) for 25% off.

The trip with putting silk through the carder is as follows:

- make sure the length of the silk staple is similar to that of the other fibers.
- fluff silk top into thin, even layer.
- sandwich between 2 thin layers of other fiber. Wool works best because the static between the wool and silk helps hold it in place.
- feed in and card slowly.
- practice, pracice, practice.

Yes that helps greatly. Sorry forgot it was the holidays. Since my partner left, I have been trying to throw myself in to everything else. Hope you like the mixer they are nice esp. the Ice cream attachment.
