Collateral Damage
Politically correct, no? Sounds pretty sterile, really. Those weren't living, breathing human beings who were hurt - it's just collateral damage. Statistics. Meaningless. Faceless. Unimportant. As long as the objective is achieved or the real problem is addressed, which is what's *truly* important, after all.

Faith is... impractical. And trust is just an exercise in pain.

the collateral damage
I'm not faceless.

Re: the collateral damage
You may not be faceless, but you're also not involved... lol The collateral damage that Red was referring to was herself. I don't know who you are, but you could stop with the cheesy anonymous posting in Red's journal, and actually say something about the situation, rather then making vague cynical comments, meant to do nothing more then hurt and make the situation worse.

Luckily, the situation isn't the one that we feared. You trying to jump into a situation that you have nothing to do with is a whole different matter. You're bringing up a new problem now, one that you need to bother to talk about if you're going to, and if not, then go post in your own journal. You're not making any sense, and you're not helping. Either speak up like a real human being, or don't waste everyone else's time.

theredhead1 is a great and wonderful person, who I've known for years now. I can promise you that she's done nothing to hurt you. So if you're posting in her journal wanting some sympathy from her, then you might try what I've already mentioned, speaking about it like a polite adult. Until then, you're probably not going to get any reactions from anyone other then me.

You try to claim you're not faceless, but you don't bother to actually say anything, and until now, you were faceless, if for no other reason then you choose to be. You're the one who decided to post anonymously twice at least about this mess.

Red's weekend problems are over, they have been dealt with quite happily, and I'm very happy for her. Don't create more please.

Re: the collateral damage
Actually, no, those anonymous postings were not from me. That's not my style. I can see why you might think it was me, but it wasn't.

The thing is, I believe that she did not knowingly do anything to hurt me. I don't think she's a bad person. I know she was referring to herself, but for reasons that I don't feel compelled to explain to you, I want her to know who I am, that I am a real human being and not some abstraction, and I am also part of the collateral damage of the events of this weekend. Call it a part of the grieving process, I suppose.

I love you too Red, and I'm always here to hold your hand. That's what us big brothers are for.
